A new beginning for Xylophone..

Published 09.07.08

Manchester’s Uber Collective The Xylophone Group have finally taken it to the next level and have moved in to their new office at Ducie House, located in the trendy Northern Quarter.

The Creative Group, which houses the graphic design imprint x! [artwork] and marketing powerhouse Rush! are excited of the re-location and are hoping that the new move pays off. William Frank, Creative Director of x! explains: “After 3 solid years of working from an apartment, I realized that my time to develop into a proper company was poking me in the back, and I was tired in meeting new clients in a coffee shop! So I spoke to Dave (who was running rush! at the time) about just having one location for the group and three months later here I am. When I finished refurbishing the studio office, I sat down on the floor exhausted but just thought to myself ‘this is the future’”

William Frank (24) is a typical example of a creative rebel. A Business Studies graduate from the University of Westminster, he gained the skills of the creative outside university hours, doing flyers for a friend’s promotion company. Realizing his love for art wasn’t going to disappear, he formed x! in 2004 and never looked back. William then moved from London to the heart of Manchester and extended his diverse skills print, web and motion.

The Xylophone Group has a range of clients mainly in the Music, Entertainment and Nightlife industries. Clients include Warner Music, Contact Theatre, Centaur Media, One Central Street, Sankeys, Blue Mountain Publishing, EMI, Revolution Bars and Author House to name a few.
