Clear unveils creative for Mcarthur glen
Published 19.06.08
Leading designer shopping outlet group McArthurGlen is launching its 70% Sale next week with a new press, poster and radio campaign created by Clear Marketing Communications, who took over the group’s advertising earlier this year.
The new campaign will support the group’s seven designer outlets across the UK, in Chester (Cheshire Oaks), Ashford in Kent, Bridgend in Wales, East Midlands, Livingston near Edinburgh, Swindon and York.
The headlines - prepare for your biggest ever shopping trip and you’re going to need a bigger car – and images communicate how shoppers can load up with great savings and buy more top designer names for less in the sale.
Clear Creative Director Tony Price said: “Sales are a critical time for retailers, none more so than in the current economic climate, so creating cut through and standout is everything. We have communicated the key sale message is an engaging and creative way, without losing the brand essence of top quality designer brands for less and appeal to core female audiences.”
Shannon Luxford, UK Marketing Manager, said: “We have seen a strong lift in both sales and footfall YTD across the portfolio and we expect the sale period to continue this growth, as more and more consumers look to designer outlets for branded product at discount prices especially in these times of economic uncertainty.”
Clear is working with each of the seven centres to implement local marketing campaigns to increase awareness of the sale. Media is being handled by Carat.
