What's new pussycat?

Published 25.04.08

The new NOISE 2008 website has launched more exciting features that you can play around with.

Your NOISE online portfolios have now been made public! Simply log-in to browse other artist’s profiles and portfolios. If you haven’t uploaded work yet, this is your chance to do so.

This is where NOISE 2008 has changed slightly from the lastfestival – now EVERYONE who submits work is automatically published on the website. In October, the very best work as chosen by NOISE, our panel of curators and the highest rated work as voted for by YOU will be put forward for media exposure.

If you change your mind about what you’ve submitted or are having second thoughts about your dodgy profile photo you can log-in and change all this too, as well as editing your profile information

You can now rate new NOISE 2008 submissions as they come in. Cast your votes now (anonymously of course!)

In addition, you can create a play list of your favorite new NOISE 2008 artwork; add your favorite NOISE artists to your collaboration wish list and see who’s returned the favour and then get to work! The idea is if you are say a film-maker and would like to use another NOISE artist to provide music for your film etc. then this is the way to start collaborating. Don’t be shy, give it a try!

Using these cool new features, NOISE is the perfect way to look for collaborators. Incidentally if you are over 25 you can still use all these new functions, just register and log-in.

Have your say on recent submissions and leave notes for NOISE artists’ work.

The new NOISE Video channel is now up and running! The NOISE player is packed full of exclusive vids of our new NOISE 2008 curators, interviews with the NOISE 2006 bunch, footage of all the exciting exhibitions and events we held in 2006, plus a selection of the best moving image and music submissions from NOISE 2006.

New on the channel this month; a little preview of the NOISE 2008 launch at Downing Street as broadcast on BBC North West News; watch NOISE Artist’s Sam Fisher’s take on events down in London and introducing James Sommerville, NOISE 2008 curator for Graphics, Advertising and New Media.

Coming soon to the NOISE Video Channel: the exclusive footage of BBC London’s ‘live’ report from 11 Downing Street, plus we’ll be announcing NOISE 2008’s music curator.

We’ve created some smashing banners, buttons and badges that you can download; stick them on your FaceSpacey pages, websites etc. Share with your mates, pop them on your newsletters; post on forums, chat rooms what ever takes your fancy.

Think you can do better? Why not design a web banner/badge for NOISE? Send your stuff to projects@noisefestival.com
