Opening doors to finance for Northwest Businesses
Published 15.12.08
Businesses in the North West’s digital and creative sector are set to benefit from a new initiative to help them access the finance they need to survive and thrive.
Launched by Business Link Northwest and the Northwest Regional Development Agency, Access to Finance is a confidential, independent and free-to-use service to help businesses secure the funding they need to move forward.
As the primary source of information about publicly-funded finance products, Access to Finance has been designed to support businesses to develop funding strategies and enhance their appeal to lenders and investors in both the public and private sector.
The Access to Finance service will be headed up by Gaynor Dykes, who has 18 years’ experience within the Banking industry, gained predominantly at the Yorkshire Bank, followed by seven years of working directly with businesses supporting them with a wide range of finance-related and other business issues.
Gaynor comments: “The availability of finance for businesses in the North West has changed significantly over recent months, with more businesses now seeking alternative sources of finance, rather than traditional providers.
“Access to Finance will add significant value to the businesses we work with by offering excellent information and support so that they become more investment ready. Our team will offer specialist provision to help businesses tackle complex finance needs, coupled with one to one coaching to enable businesses to develop detailed funding propositions alongside the necessary presentation skills to pitch their plans to potential investors.”
