Creative Lancashire is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer to provide support and advocacy for the creative and digital businesses across the sub-region. Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the creative industries and their economic growth potential. The successful applicant will have experience of researching sources of funding, writing bids, business planning and project management.

As part of the Economic Development arm of LCC the post will report to the Director of Creative Lancashire and manage a Project Officer and a Communications Assistant. The successful candidate will have experience of working in an advisory capacity with sole traders and SME's, will be responsible for establishing new networking opportunities and have the ability to work strategically with public agencies and partners across Lancashire and the NW region.

Desirable Qualifications Educated to degree level. Prince 2 Project Management.

Essential Experience You must have experience of successfully managing the delivery of projects against contract.
Excellent knowledge of current funding streams and their use.
Sound understanding of public sector economic development operations.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

A vacancy has arisen in our small, committed team. We require a Development Officer to help us raise funds to support our core work and special projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of this vibrant arts organisation for a motivated, outgoing and organised individual with experience in fundraising, marketing or sales.

Your work will cover individual giving, corporate engagement and trusts and foundations and you must be confident in working with all three sectors. You will have responsibility for organising events, administering our ‘Thank You for the Music’ campaign and for managing our large group of individual donors.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital, and a confident, persuasive and articulate telephone manner is particularly important in this role. A background in music or the arts sector is desirable but not necessary. You will be creative, energetic and results driven.

This role is offered on a full-time basis but we would also like to hear from people who feel they meet the person specification but would wish to fulfil the post on a flexible working pattern or part-time basis. The salary in these circumstances would be calculated pro rata.
