Valium Skies began in 2008 where I joined the band when they were called UP-LIFT.
At first it was a struggle and after the normal arguments and things like that which happen in most bands, we lost a couple of members.

Myself and Richard Dixon decided on changing the band name to Valium Skies and basically starting again from scratch by bringing in Tej Chauhan on Keys,Dave Cooper on Bass and Toddy Rigg on Drums/Percussion.

The name Valium Skies was our way of paying respect to a band myself and Richard Dixon grew up listening to called The Verve, who have influenced us both a hell of a lot over the years.

The name Valium Skies comes from a track on their Album Forth.

Valium Skies are currently working on getting our Website up and running aswell as our Debut EP which is being mixed and mastered as I write this (18/06/2010).

We’ve a few shows coming up soon which you can find out about by Facebook or Myspace by searching for Valium Skies.
