ruul measures up with over 10,000 active users

ruul the Google Chrome app created by Manchester based designer Chris Thelwell has reached the 10,000 active users milestone.
Originally created as a personal tool to help with website design and development, ruul is a fantastically simple on-screen ruler for lining up and measuring type, line height, strokes and just about anything on the web. Launched on the Google Chrome Webstore in July 2011, ruul now has over 10,000 active users and growing, with over 60,000 uses per month, from all corners of the world.
Creator Chris Thelwell said, “ruul started following a joke with a web developer over the use of a plastic ruler for checking accuracy in a website design. Judging by the feedback, it’s great that the rest of the web design community have found ruul really useful. I’m looking forward to building on ruul’s great start with plans for additional features and more apps in the near future.”
