Manchester Urban Pioneers / Call for participants
Are you 16-19? Interested in architecture? Do you want to work with exciting creative professionals and have the opportunity to exhibit your work in central Manchester?
The Architecture Foundation and Cube are looking to recruit six 16-19 year olds to take part in an exciting programme exploring the architectural changes happening in Manchester, focussing on Hulme, New Islington and Cheetham Hill.
Over ten days between September and November 2010, the Manchester Urban Pioneers will work with some of Europe’s most exciting young architects as well as filmmakers, artists, historians and communications experts to create a body of work and a film which will be shown at a temporary cinema in the city centre which they will design.
If you would like to apply, please download the application form from www.urbanpioneers.org.uk and email it to ruby@architecturefoundation.org.uk by 16 August.
All events are free of charge and will happen outside of school hours. Urban Pioneers will receive £10 per day to cover their lunch and travel.
