Manchester Architecture Awards 2011

The Manchester Society of Architects (MSA) Design Awards 2011 is inviting applications.
The awards have been held annually since 1995 and are presented for buildings that are considered to have made a particularly positive contribution to the local environment and are judged, from the exhibited projects, by a jury consisting of architects and non-architects.
Submissions for the exhibition and the awards must be designed by an architect who is a chartered member of the RIBA or by an architectural practice, at least one of whose principals is a chartered member of the RIBA, resident in and/or working within the Greater Manchester area.
Submissions for the ‘student projects’ category must be the work of a student attending a School of Architecture within the MSA region. Post Part 1 and Part 2 ‘year out’ students are also eligible.
The Design Awards exhibition, which will be held at the CUBE gallery, will be open to the public between May 5 and May 21, 2011.
The Design Awards will be presented at CUBE on May 19, 2011.
