Manchester’s Glorious heritage championed
Glorious Creative are to deliver a linked identity and promotional campaign for eight of Manchester’s museums and galleries; encouraging people to visit venues including the Imperial War Museum North, People’s History Museum, Manchester Art Gallery and Urbis.
The agency won the commission with their “thoughtful, strategic approach with fresh and witty ideas,” explained Kim Gowland, Principal Manager for Audience Development at Manchester City Galleries, “It’s also great to work with a young Manchester-based agency who are so full of energy and creativity.”
Mark Ross, design director at Glorious, said: “We wanted to do something that was innovative and far more engaging with visitors and the people of Manchester.” Glorious MD, Scott McCubbin, added: “The initial feedback has been excellent, which is quite an achievement considering the variety of museums and galleries involved. They were impressed by our rationale to their joint identity and our approach to Manchester’s Original Modern proposition.”
The agency, who were in the top five North of England Design Consultancies of the Year 2007, will deliver the campaign over the next two years. It will launch later this year.
In addition to the museum and galleries project, they have recently secured a contract with North West Development Agency to promote the region as a business destination.
