Vision+Media’s Director of Skills, Lynne McCadden is leaving the organisation and setting up her own digital media consultancy working with both private and public sector clients.

After four years spent at Vision+Media and six years as Chief Executive of Media Training North West, Lynne has been credited throughout the industry and the region with having an innovative approach to skills and training.

Over the last ten years, she has developed and led the delivery of skills programmes which have equipped thousands of people with the skills and know how that the digital and creative industry actually needs.

Sean Marley, MD at Lime Pictures, “Lynne has a refreshing view of the industry. She’s constantly a step ahead, recognising where the gaps are going to be, understanding and connecting with real business needs. Whether it’s coming up with pioneering new schemes or making apprenticeships for the media industry that really work. Her knowledge of the world of training, funding and what matters to industry is second to none.

On top of all that she’s great fun to do business with and I wish her every success.”

Paul Taylor, Chief Executive, Vision+Media, “Lynne will leave a fantastic legacy at Vision+Media. She has always championed the premise that that if you don’t invest in people’s skills you lose competitive advantage, which is true for companies, for regions and for cities.

She’s worked with private training providers, industry and universities, to develop forward thinking collaborations which have directly contributed to us being a region of highly skilled and talented people.

During the last four years she has developed a dedicated skills team that have made a real impact on how digital and creative freelancers and organisations view and access training.”

Lynne commented, I’m very sad to be leaving Vision+Media but very proud to have been part of what the organisation and team there has achieved.

It’s difficult times for many in both private and public sector, but with the onset of MediaCityUK, BBC North and Creative England, there has never been a more exciting or competitive time for the digital and creative industry in the North.

Lynne has spent over 20 years in journalism and radio and TV production across the BBC and immediately prior to Vision+Media, Lynne spent six years as Chief Executive of Media Training North West, the region’s leading media skills and training provider, growing the business from £60K to over £5M.
