The Festival: Be Part Of It

The Liverpool Design Festival was launched in November 2009 as a new annual design and contemporary craft festival in Liverpool. The Festival celebrates and promotes quality design, encouraging an appreciation of design and contemporary craft by the widest possible audience, providing opportunities for participation, particularly by young people, in design and artistic appreciation whilst also supporting new and emerging practitioners.

Design Show: Be At The Heart Of It
7th to 9th October 2011

The Design Show is the signature event of the Festival and aims to showcase the best in contemporary design from the North West and the rest of the UK. It will present a selection of exciting and inspiring interior products, glass, ceramics, furniture, lighting, jewellery, textiles and designer fashion and fashion accessories. Throughout the weekend there will also be a series of professional catwalks which will enable buyers and public alike to see fashion and fashion accessories to their best advantage.

The Design Show takes place at the Grade 1 listed St. George’s Hall in the city centre of Liverpool. St George’s Hall is widely regarded as one of the finest neo-classical buildings in the world. It offers a ‘must see’ event to visitors and a not to be missed opportunity for designers to show and sell their work, promote their businesses and network with trade and public visitors in a breathtakingly beautiful setting.

We now have two standard exhibition shell schemes to offer to ensure that emerging and established talent are provided with a choice of price points. Stands come complete with power, lighting and name board. Stands at 2m x 1m and 3m x 1m, will be available and you’ll be able to purchase additional square metres to create bigger stands. We can also offer you a space only option allowing you to create and install your own stand.

We also have a choice of stand types; fabric covered walls, slatted walls and MDF walls to give you greater flexibility in creating your display.

The deadlines for applications and price points:
Apply before May 31st and if you’re selected you’ll qualify for the Early Bird Offer of a standard shell scheme of 2m x 1m at £250 and 3m x 1m at £290.

Prices will revert to the standard charge of £300 per 2m x 1m shell scheme and £360 for a 3m x 1m shell scheme, if you successfully apply after May 31st

A standard fee of £60 per additional square metre is chargeable for stands over 3m x 1m.

We welcome applications from group exhibitors and stand sharers conditional on all exhibitors on the stand being successfully selected by the panel.
