Creative Lancashire was set up in 2005 to help support and advise creative businesses in the Lancashire region.
As a reflection of not just the success of the organisation but also the demand for it, Creative Lancashire are looking for a Creative Industries Development Officer to work exclusively with businesses based over in East Lancashire. This new appointment demonstrates the commitment of the CL team to providing a comprehensive service across the whole of its jurisdiction and that is reinforced by the opening of their new ‘touch-down zone’ in the heart of Preston’s creative business sector – The Watermark Building.
The Watermark, owned and set up by sculptor Charles Hadcock, offers workspaces for creative businesses including designers, photographers and digital and new media agencies, and so the team at Creative Lancashire see it as the perfect place for their touch-down zone; where they will be able to meet established and start-up businesses to discuss what they need to take their company or idea forward.
Creative Lancashire’s Director, Ruth Raban, said: “At Creative Lancashire we are committed to developing our services to Lancashire’s creative community. By looking to appoint a new development officer and offering to meet new and established businesses at The Watermark, we are showing how much we want to provide in terms of support and advice.”
