Summer’s here, and the fixtures for next season are out, which means it’s the perfect time to announce the details of the next round of Umbro Industries. The Summer bursary is now open for applications from anyone living in Greater Manchester who’s got a great creative idea but needs a helping hand to get it off the ground.

You’ve got until Friday July 30th to enter by uploading your idea to the site here, with four shortlisted finalists then being chosen to pitch their proposal to our expert panel. The panel, which includes the likes of DJ and A&R man Mike Pickering and top graphic designer Mark Farrow, will then choose which of the ideas will receive the £10,000 funding.

Sounds too good to be true? Well it’s not! Manchester is full of people with great ideas, and we’re giving them a helping hand by providing the funds to get them started. So far we’ve helped to put on a fantastic stage play, provided the funds to re-open an innovative art gallery and are set to released a limited edition run of special single releases.
