Head First snap-up a key new job

A high-profile commission for Key103 has seen Head First put aside their joysticks and strike up a new collaboration with local lens-guru Jonathan Keenan.

The campaign, which uses ‘escape’ as the key theme, was launched via a major outdoor campaign throughout Greater Manchester. In fact, if you travel to work on the Metrolink , you’re sure to have noticed the boldly coloured adverts depicting people emerging from escape tunnels they have dug to escape to a better job!

Stephen Hey, Client Services Manager for Head First, commented “As an agency of Mancunians we have lived with the Key103 brand for many years and so it is great to be working with the brand and helping to extend its remit.”

Historically, Head First have focused on design&packaging for the computer games industry, working on titles such as Tony Hawkes American Wasteland and Bounty Hunter. Most recently the agency were awarded a major new project for the launch of Devil May Cry 4 – the next instalment of the highly acclaimed franchise.

“While creating campaigns for Key103Jobs.co.uk is a million miles away from things like Devil May Cry 4, the need to communicate a key message with extreme clarity is the common denominator,” Stephen explained. “Also, I think taking on projects outside of our specialist sector helps us to keep our creative edge razor sharp, proving our strategic skills in differing environments.”

Photographer, Jonathan Keenan, who was referred to Head First by CIDS, added, “It was obvious they have moved on to deal with clients well outside of the games industry, yet have been able to retain the fresh approach to ideas that comes from that relatively young sector.”

After their successful collaboration on this project, Jonathan and Head First are now exploring other joint projects.
