Get in the game launch: £10,000 to develop a game for Sony's PSN

Posted by: Patrick Ward, Creative Times on November 20, 2008 00:00

On Thursday 27th November, companies from the digital content and gaming sectors are invited to the launch event of Get In The Game, where Northwest Vision and Media will be presenting their strategies to support the games industry in the Northwest. Sony will present its ideas for indie development on the PlayStation Network, as well as talking about the Get In The Game project.

There are up to 20 places available for a free workshop to be held in Liverpool in mid-December that will provide better insight into how to work with Sony, how to pitch to games publishers, a look at user centred design, and a peek at some new industry audience research.

The final stage of the workshop will see companies pitch their ideas to a panel of Sony executives and Executive Producers. This panel will select 5 companies to receive £10,000 to prototype their game over the first 3 months of 2009. These ideas will then be shown to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe with the possibility of going into full production.
