Full Circle Arts – Young Artist Development

Full Circle Arts are currently planning another Source Young Artist development programme.
This programme of activity will begin in May 2011 and continue until May 2012, with applications due in by Wednesday 20th April.
Source Young Artists is a twelve-month intensive development service for disabled people with a keen interest and commitment in pursuing further arts participation. Whether it is in training, education or moving towards a career in the arts, the service aims to increase young people’s knowledge, skills, networks and experience in the arts to help them follow their ambitions.
The service offers:
- Service Briefing/Introduction
- Pre-service assessment (personal development/individual planning and group intro)
- Information, advice and guidance
- Ongoing review and support through group meetings
- Mentoring and or Arts Award Advisor
- Training and Development workshops
- Opportunity to gain work shadowing/experience
- Silver Arts Award process or/and accreditation
FCA will offer ten places this year to disabled people between the ages of 18 and 30 and would suit individuals who have demonstrated self management around their own learning and those who have displayed commitment in arts activity, mentoring, project work, individual learning, education or training. Graduates and those in arts education are also welcome to apply.
