Any of you that have met us will know we like nothing better than meeting people and chatting about what we do. If Ben can get to talk about sport as well, we’re onto a winner, so when our friends at UK Sports Network asked us to do a talk about social media at their upcoming event we jumped at the chance.

The Social Media & Sport Summit takes place on Thursday 1st July at Notts County Football Club, and we’ll be talking about how we help sports brands and organisations (like Volcom and England Squash & Racketball) take the plunge into the big wide world of social media.

We’re going to be joined by the guys at Macesport PR from Nottingham, and the nice people from England Athletics and UK Athletics.

You can get tickets and more info here.

The UK Sports Network event follows our successful trip to the Sport and New Media conference at Bridgewater Hall, organised by the brilliant Sport Business magazine.

Ben and Phil were asked to present our work for England Squash & Racketball, and also talked about our campaign work for JD Sports, which seemed to go down well with the 200 delegates. You know we don’t like blowing our own trumpet, but several people said it was their highlight of the day, which was great to hear.

Ben also got the chance to join Jeff Nathenson from YouTube and Jerry Newman from Chelsea FC on the final panel discussion of the day, which was a lot of fun.

Other speakers included Ben Gallop, Head of Interactive at BBC Sport, as well as people from Eurosport, IMG, and BUCS.

You can find Ben’s write up of the event, and check out our presentation here.
