Have you seen the scarf?

If you are an avid CloseKnit Theatre follower then you’ll know it’s all we tweet about. But it’s something that we started off very excited about but we now all absolutely love. The amount of people who stop and chat, or stop and knit, or wander past with a little chuckle is pretty hefty. We have all been taught a gazillion different ways of knitting now, reprimanded for dropping stiches, and while people knit away they then tell us their life stories. Apart from the women who knitted and then looked outraged when we offered a flyer and point blank refused to take it. That was slightly odd. But if you see us knitting away, come and say hello. And as the end of the Fringe draws nearer the question on literally everyones mind – what shall we do with it? Auction it? Cut it up? Donate it? Keep it for next year?

In other news it’s friends and family week, so more life stories and more reprimanding when they realise our five a day comes in the form of femented grapes. But it’s lovely having a lot of friendly faces about. In actual fact, a lot of faces in general staring back at us from the audience which always makes us happy. My dad spent a fair while trying to find our space in Zoo as he didn’t think it could possibly be the venue behind the fairly substantial queue. Parental pride – nothing like it.

But it’s fab, it feel like we’ve achieved something in our time here – and hey, there are still 5 whole performances left.

This week is also being spent cramming in as much Theatre as possible. Where as last week we spent a lot of time cooking and drinking together, however the soundtrack to this week seems to be many more cries of ‘oh crap I still haven’t seen that!’ and scribbling over carefully drawn timetables.

And the Sofa is still standing.
