FLB GEARS FOR FURTHER GROWTH WITH NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT

flb, the brand identity and packaging design consultancy, has appointed Jo Handford to its board of directors as associate director. This is a new board position and is integral to flb’s expansion as the firm gears for further growth within the retail and FMCG sectors.
Handford joined flb in January 2009 as senior account director and was promoted to director of client management shortly afterwards. She has specialised in the world of packaging design and brand management for more than 14 years and during that time has also developed a sound capability for building and managing very effective client management teams, which she will continue to do alongside her new role as associate director on the board of flb.
Prior to joining flb, Handford spent ten years at Cadbury, first in the marketing department working on new product launches and later within Cadbury’s design agency where she managed several Cadbury packaging and sponsorship projects.
Guy Douglass, managing director of flb, said: “We are seeing significant growth in our business and it was crucial for the board to bring expert focus to its strategic team in the area of customer relationship management. Jo’s contribution to the business during this past year, allied to her industry experience, made her a natural choice for us”.
Jo Handford, associate director of flb, said: “It is a great honour to be offered this strategic position after just eighteen months at flb. We are going through an exciting period, developing new business and clients despite a tough recession, and we intend to leverage that success by being industry leaders in the delivery of excellent design, supported by benchmark customer relationships”.
flb designs for several blue-chip clients including ASDA, Kenwood, B&Q, HobbyCraft and Danone (Cow & Gate).
