Wood Street Mission, the Manchester charity providing clothes, food, toys, books etc to local families in need, needs support from businesses and individuals every month, and are looking for people to come forward and offer their help.

The charity’s needs change on a monthly basis, depending on the time of the year, and the projects they are involved in. Below is a list of their needs, listed month-by-month. If your company can help with one or two of the following, please contact jan@woodstreetmission.org.uk .

· Feb – Excellent quality children’s books
· March – new toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, soap etc), cyclist volunteers to ride Mcr to Blackburn in July
· April – Easter eggs, non-perishable food, funds for Easter events
· May – Excellent quality children’s books
· June – School uniform and school stationery items
· July – Excellent quality children’s books, bedding
· Aug – children’s coats, volunteers for autumn events incl 5k run
· Oct – non-perishable food
· Nov – new toys/games/books/DVDs for 0 – 13 year-olds
· Dec – volunteers to help sort toys for Xmas parcels
· Jan – kids’ and young adults’ clothes, bedding, baby equipment and toys
