SUN (Shot Up North) celebrated its 20th year in November. During the last two decades SUN has showcased over 1000 images by the best northern photographers.

The SUN Awards were established with the aim of bringing together professional photographers at a time when the photography industry was fragmenting in the face of change.

Ed Horwich, long-established Photographer and Co-Director of the SUN Awards, commented: “One of my images was in the very first show and here I am two decades on running the show and making sure regional photographers receive the attention they deserve.”
