Performing Arts Network and Development Agency (PANDA) are pleased to confirm the speakers for our next Spotlight On, in partnership with Contact.
This practical panel-led information and networking event is open to anyone working in the performing arts in the North West. Join us at 6.30pm on Tuesday 30th June 2009 to reflect on where the financial crisis has left the performing arts and find out what you can do to survive the downturn with your artistic integrity intact.
Confirmed speakers
• Julia Turpin is currently Acting PANDA Manager and also Director of Contacting the World, an international theatre project for young people. Julia will be chairing the discussion and sharing her own experiences of fundraising for projects, including sourcing international funds.
• Richard Hall is Assistant Theatre Officer at Arts Council England North West. Richard will discuss planned changes at the funding body and provide an update on the future of Grants for the arts funding.
• Chantelle Culshaw is currently Development Director at Royal Exchange Theatre and has previously worked as Development Manager at The Lowry and raised capital funding in her time with IOU Theatre. Chantelle will highlight funding available through alternative sources including trusts and foundations, corporate sources and sponsorship.

The event will take place in Space 2 at Contact where there will be tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. You are also invited to stay on after the panel discussion for an additional hour-long networking event in Contact Lounge bar. Your chance to meet the speakers on a one-to-one basis, catch up with friends and colleagues and network with new contacts from the event.
