Manchester Metropolitan University School of Law, in partnership with JMW Solicitors LLP and Innospace, is delighted to present a series of three media law seminars designed to tackle current business issues facing creative companies.
Starting on Tuesday 27 September, guest speaker Keith Arrowsmith, partner of JMW Solicitors LLP, will examine and explore Funding Agreements, Internet and Broadcasting, and Copyright FAQs.
Tuesday 27 September – Funding
Time: 5pm (for a 5.30pm start) until 7pm
Finding funding is a challenge, but understanding the many different formats of the available financial structures can seem equally daunting. From grant funding to crowd sourcing, Keith Arrowsmith will clearly set out the traditional and emerging ways of financing projects, comparing the Dragon’s Den investment model with other types of investment.
In a banker-free zone, Keith will use his experience of advising start up companies, to provide a critical review of current practice, with a focus on creative sector businesses and social enterprises.
Other seminars in this series include:
Tuesday 4 October – Internet and Broadcasting
Tuesday 11 October – Copyright FAQs
Cost
The cost of each seminar is £25 per person. Innospace tenants are eligible for a discounted rate of £10 per person (per seminar).
