Castlefield Gallery presents One and All, a group show that brings together seven North West based artists Grennan&Sperandio, Jo Lewington, Jil Moore, Hafsah Naib, Joe Richardson, William Titley and Andrew Wilson who have produced new work by examining, interacting and interrogating the structures and themes of community networks and urban regeneration. Through the use of video, sculpture and painting the show explores aspects of life in an urban environment examining, collective consciousness, isolation, nostalgia and our understanding of ‘culture’. The work will explore the way artists engage with the subject of community, demonstrating a model of “usefulness” of contemporary practice to another realm of life that lies in revealing the insights of the individual into an apparently democratic entity.
