Marketing a business has changed with the rise in uptake of media such as the Web and the increase in popularity of social websites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. How can you find out whether they will they supersede more traditional routes to an audience or customer, or are they merely a flash in the pan?
This seminar will look at the current state of marketing in 2009/2010 and the potentials of web marketing and social networking technologies for the arts and cultural sector.
The aims of the seminar are: • To share some ‘nerd knowledge’ and demystify the use of the Web and social websites as viable means of marketing a business and look at how they fit into the ‘traditional’ marketing toolkit • To give you the opportunity to bring real issues to the table and to go away with the solutions, tools and techniques you need.
Cost: £30 for Arts&Business Members, £50 for non-members
