To tie-in with the Men of Cloth exhibition on show in the Lauriston Gallery from July 3rd to Sept 4th, textile artist Michael Brennand-Wood (http://brennand-wood.com) gives a special talk entitled 'Material Evidence - Re-inventing Textiles' which covers the development of his work, his influences and an outline of his public artwork. Michael is a visual artist, curator, lecturer and arts consultant. He is internationally regarded as one of the most innovative and inspiring artists working in textiles and this is a rare chance to hear him discuss his inspirations and career to date.
The Men of Cloth exhibition features work which has meaning and emotional power and helps people to experience textile art in a deeper, richer way. Come along before the talk and view the exhibition while you’re at Waterside.
This event is open to artists from all areas, the bar will be open and we’ll have all the latest arts news from Waterside.
