Creative Times

Originally from Cumbria, I am a painter working in Manchester's Northern Quarter where I have been a tenant at Manchester Craft & Design Centre since 2006. Subject matter is related to a love of nature, predominantly birds, flowers and butterflies, with Japanese kimono design particuarly influential in my work.

I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University's 'Interactive Arts' degree course in 2005, where I predominantly worked on children's picture book illustration. Painting, decorative arts and crafts has since become my main focus, but I hope to get back to working on picture book projects in the near future.
